Leo-di went to the beach for the first time on Tuesday. She enjoyed the sights and sounds, and then she and her dad took a dip in the Mediterranean. She seemed a little alarmed at the waves. Afterwards she fell asleep on her chaise lounge.
I wrote this to your mom after seeing these pictures, but now that I've finally figured out how to post to your blog, I rewrote it to you so I could post it.
What GREAT pictures! I had the second picture (the one of your big smile) up on my computer, and one of my friends came into my office and said "Now *that's* a happy person!" Exactly! You just look so happy! I think it's because you have such great parents! Every time I look at it, I just laugh out loud with delight. That little bow-shaped mouth, and your fuzzy little hairdo, and those beautiful eyes -- you are just the cutest ever. Oh, and I love the cool beach shirt!
I was amazed that you were happy for two hours and then slept the rest of the way on the plane flight to Israel. That's really something -- I'd say your parents are very lucky to have such a great kid! 10 hours is a *long* time to be cooped up in an aluminum tube.
Your apartment looks great. I'll be looking forward to hearing more from your mom about the trip, arrival, the apartment, Israel, Tel Aviv, people, experiences, etc.
Please say hi to your dad, and "spasibo" again for helping me with the opera (Yevgyeniy Onyegin) -- it's really coming along well, and I think my Russian is getting some better, although I probably still speak (sing) it with a horrible southern USA accent! Oh, and I think it's great that he is taking you for swims in the Mediterranean!
Here's a great big hug from your Poppi, who misses you already...
