Mermamma!

This week Leo-di's Mermamma came to town! She brought her two sons, Isaac O and Eben A, and her husband, Kiko, joined us later. Leo-di's Grandma and Grandpa were also in town, celebrating their 22nd anniversary. It was a fabulous, noisy week.

Funmi's house

Last weekend Leora Diza went to Funmi's house. She loved the spicy rice and fish that Funmi's mom made for dinner! She also enjoyed meeting Funmi's friend, CJ, and seeing Aunt G and Uncle Aaron. To top it all off, she got some wonderful polka-dotted presents!

Maggie Wang-Yong's first birthday party

Leora and Maggie (fellow convicts at the yoga studio) spent time hanging out at the bar. Maggie also gave Leora a Halloween book which she loves. Leora will be missing Maggie very much as she is moving to Singapore after the election. We hope she comes back to visit.

milestones

Here's a picture of Leora's first tooth that she got at the beginning of October. Within two weeks she got a second bottom tooth but as yet no more have arrived. Leora also took her first baby steps in yoga class a few weeks ago, and now takes 4 to 5 steps before dropping to a crawl. She loves walking around with a push toy. She likes to hide and then pop out from behind something to get a reaction. She also claps, nods, shakes her head, and points at things of interest (or straight ahead when in the stroller as if to say "onward!"). When she really likes something she points at it and roars gleefully. This is usually directed at lights, dogs, kids and pumpkins. She loves going outside and gets excited when we near the door. She loves books and seems to talk as she peruses them. She eats almost anything now, provided it's in small pieces, and loves to guzzle from her sippy cup. Today she has been experimenting with dangling a purse from her arm.
